About me,
The Interstellar Witch
I'm Courtney, a thirty-something-year-old living in a mountain valley directly against The Great Smokey Mountains. I share my life with my wife, our three dogs, my beloved senior orange cat, and the ghost dog who came with the house. We’re currently building the land our house is on to be more sustainable and curating a mini homestead.
Life got pretty sweet after my Saturn return, and for that I'm grateful. In 2020, I dove headfirst into studying Astrology with all of the newly found free time I had, after having a lifelong interest in it. I not only learned about myself but also the ever-present patterns that show up time and time again within the realm of Astrology like; business, relationships, family cycles, addiction, and health - fully solidifying my belief in it.
Divination like Astrology, tarot, and pendulum readings have not only improved my own life, but I’ve seen how it has greatly impacted the lives of clients and friends alike. Giving them the knowledge to deepen their relationships through chart synastry, apply for jobs using astrological timing techniques, and gain insight into life’s larger questions through conversations with their psyche guided by tarot has been an honor and a privilege that I don’t take lightly.
There are lots of words to describe me as a person, and although ever-changing for this period of my life they've stayed the same for a bit. I'm a Hellenistic Astrologer, diviner using cards + tools of all sorts, neopagan, and eclectic witch.
I write a weekly newsletter and offer a multitude of personalized 1-on-1 readings to help folks understand the stars, cards, and everything in between. I’ve been featured on sites like MSN, BestLife, and many more publications. Sharing the insight I’ve gained on free platforms is something I’m passionate about, and I feel it’s necessary not to gate-keep information that could help someone find a lighter path.
My goal in life is to make the everyday and mundane a little more comfortable with insights, celestial wisdom, and intuitive guidance. As someone with a natal Jupiter in the 12th house, I'm comfortable with the uncomfortable and have a knack for finding silver linings. Between a lifetime of clairvoyance and a near-death experience in my teens, I'd say that I've lived a deep, messy, and beautiful life so far. Building a relationship with not only the stars but my ancestors and guides has been life-altering in a way I never thought to be possible. I’m more present in life, and I’m able to build on a sense of trust and security that’s always surrounding me.
I don’t use the likeness of a witch to be trendy or to misguide. I find it’s an accurate description of how I’ve always interacted with nature. I’ve had practices and rituals in my life ever since I can remember, which have only deepened and grown more intricate with time and shared knowledge. I started off doing spellwork in a solitary practice, eventually offering help to my partner. Between the magick that both of us witnessed together and her affirming words, I started offering spellwork to friends, family and eventually branched off to clients. I am selective about the clients I work with, as I feel it’s incredibly important to energetically align with intentions, expectations, and repercussions.
You’ll see me online using the terms neopagan and eclectic witch - which are vague by design. My spiritual practice is one that’s personal to me and doesn’t fit into a box or label. The way I practice Paganism is probably different than the way most do, and I think that’s beautiful. The same goes for my spellwork practice, not aligning with a certain set of restrictions, beliefs, or paths.
