The Interstellar Studio: A Formal Introduction

It’s been a long time coming folks, but I feel it’s finally time to introduce y’all to our little private wellness studio. It’s still a work in progress, but, it’s been cultivated with lots of love, intention, and honesty.

Nestled in a peaceful valley among the Great Smoky Mountains of Western North Carolina, The Interstellar Studio offers a serene escape just outside Waynesville. This private wellness studio, located at 248 Candlewood Circle Waynesville, NC, is part of a blossoming mini homestead.

When Ellyse and I first started renovating this area in 2022, we had no idea how important it would be for our community to have this space. In the first few months, we hosted New Moon Circles, countless meditations, and even held space for the WNC Grief Group. Our big dream is seeing this studio become a staple for folks in the wellness community in Western North Carolina.

Our studio went by a different title originally, but a new business in the area was created with a shockingly similar name. So, to avoid any further confusion, we chose to promptly change our little studio’s name, thus, The Interstellar Studio was made official in 2024.

We had planned to officially launch after planned renovations in late 2024. But, after Hurricane Helene, it was clear that our community needed a place to gather, grieve, heal, and be around like-minded folks.

Within the year, The Interstellar Studio will be offering a full schedule of yoga and wellness classes. Right now, we currently have two weekly meditation classes, which you can find here. While we loved having the New Moon Circles, those will probably be more of an online container. However, we do have some pretty epic dreams for hosting events aligned with the seasons of the year.

One thing for certain is, The Interstellar Studio will always have sliding scale options. Especially for folks living in Waynesville, Maggie Valley, and the surrounding areas — wellness needs to be accessible for our community members.

When the tourists leave our little mountain town and the weather gets colder, there are not many ways for us to connect and destress in ways that aren’t connected to bars and alcohol. Our goal is to be a gathering place for like-minded folks looking to sink into comfort, friendship, and stability.

Thank you to all of our supporters, donors, and community members for supporting us. We do all of in the name of our community, and by making Waynesville, Maggie Valley, and the surrounding towns a better place by instilling diversity, kindness, and love to everything we offer!
